BDR connects results to one official player identity. New players and players with limited history remain provisional. More verified games create more evidence and improve confidence in classification.

BDR is designed to make sustained misclassification harder to maintain, but no rating system should claim to eliminate sandbagging completely.

Both modes use registration, check-in, queueing, court assignment and result entry. Non-rated results remain operational records. Rated results are eligible for controlled submission to backdoorrating.com after organizer and site verification.

The organizer website does not independently set the official rating. BackDoor Rating remains the central identity and rating authority.

A Demo Organizer can operate assigned sandbox sessions but cannot install plugins, change the theme, open WordPress settings, access production BDR credentials or affect real ratings. Demo access is temporary and may reset automatically.

Start on the demo homepage, explore the public player experience, then request restricted Demo Organizer access. The demo uses fictional players and sandbox ratings. Nothing in the demo changes real BDR records.

1. Open the public live board.
2. Review players, courts and the waiting queue.
3. Request operator access with your email.
4. Use the seeded session before creating a new one.

Enter the correct teams and score, then complete the game once. Review missing results and duplicate warnings before ending the session. A rated result should not be transmitted until the organizer confirms that the result is complete and accurate.

Use the archive for completed sessions. Do not recreate a completed match to correct a mistake; use the controlled correction or reversal process.

Use the registrations screen to review player information and payment proof. Approve Only confirms the entry without placing the player into the live queue. Approve + Check-In confirms the entry and checks the player into the active session.

Use manual check-in when a camera, QR code or internet connection is unavailable.

Guided OP Control is the main operator workspace. It shows current courts, waiting players, next actions and session warnings.

1. Confirm checked-in players.
2. Review the suggested next match.
3. Locate or delay missing players when needed.
4. Assign the match to an available court.
5. Enter the result and complete the match.

Automation assists the operator; it does not remove operator authority.

The queue is designed to reduce paddle stacking and repeated court calls. Players can see who is playing, who is waiting and what action is expected next.

Rotation settings determine how players return after a game. Waiting time, recent activity, partner history and operator decisions may affect the suggested group. The operator can delay, locate, skip or correct a suggested match.

Open BDR QR Check-In and scan the player’s personal code. The system checks the player identity, session registration, approval, payment status and check-in state before confirming the action.

If scanning fails, search for the player and use the manual fallback. Never create a duplicate player just because the QR code cannot be read.

Create the session first, then set its venue, schedule, player limit, fee, available courts and rated status. Do not open registration until those settings are correct.

3. Confirm venue and courts.
4. Select rated or non-rated mode.
5. Open registration when ready.

Each player can receive a personal live link showing current status, live score, recent games and next action. Attention alerts may use visible notices and supported sound or device cues.

Phone vibration and audio behavior depends on the browser, device settings and whether the player has opened and permitted the page. Treat these as attention aids, not guaranteed emergency notifications.

The system keeps manual controls because real events do not always follow ideal conditions. If QR scanning fails, use manual player search. If a court becomes unavailable, change the assignment. If a player is missing, delay or locate the player. If the connection drops, record the result safely and confirm it before final processing.
