Alerts
Will every iPhone buzz for a court call?+
No alert method is guaranteed on every phone. Browser permissions, silent mode, battery settings and whether the page is open can affect vibration and sound. The feature should be treated as an attention aid alongside visible queue and court information.
BDR
Can an organizer change a player’s official BDR rating?+
No. Approved organizer sites may submit verified results, but backdoorrating.com remains the official rating authority.
Can I use Open Play without BDR?+
Yes. Rated and non-rated sessions use the same operating workflow. Non-rated results are not submitted for official BDR processing.
Does BDR eliminate sandbagging?+
No system can honestly guarantee that. BDR creates a persistent verified history so repeated performance makes long-term misclassification harder to sustain.
Why are new BDR players provisional?+
A small number of games provides limited evidence. Reliability improves as more verified rated history is recorded.
Check-In
What happens if the QR camera does not work?+
Search for the player and use manual check-in. Do not create a duplicate player record.
Demo
Do demo results affect real BDR ratings?+
No. The demo uses sandbox players, sandbox BDR IDs and protected test results. Production rating submission is disabled.
General
What is BackDoor Open Play?+
BackDoor Open Play is a live session operating system for registration, approval, payment proof, QR or manual check-in, automatic queueing, court assignments, player live links, results and session history.
Operator
Can I manually change the next match?+
Yes. Automation supports the operator; it does not remove operator authority.
Player
Where can players see when they are next?+
Players can use their personal live link and the public live board to see their current status and next action.
Privacy
Where is organizer data stored?+
The paid organizer website stores its operational records in its own WordPress installation and database. Only approved identity and rated-result data needed by BDR is exchanged with backdoorrating.com.
Queue
Does this replace paddle stacking?+
It can. Players can check their live status and queue position digitally instead of arranging physical paddles. Organizers may still retain a manual fallback during outages.
How does automatic queueing work?+
The system maintains a visible waiting list and suggests or generates the next playable group based on the configured rotation rules and available players. The operator can still delay, locate, skip or correct the suggestion.
Registration
Can I accept walk-in players?+
Yes. The operator can add or approve a walk-in and check the player into the active session, subject to the session limit and organizer rules.
Sales
Can a customer use their own domain and branding?+
Yes. The paid installation can use the customer’s domain or subdomain, organization branding, venues, courts, staff accounts and operating settings.
Can Tournament or Court Booking be added later?+
Yes. BackDoor Sports OS is modular. Customers should see only the modules installed for their operation.
What is the real hosted trial?+
Selected organizers may run one limited real Open Play through backdoorleague.com using the standard BackDoor setup. Custom branding and permanent operation belong to the paid system.

What happens when the internet disconnects?+
Use the permanent manual fallbacks, record the essential court result safely and confirm all entries before final session closure or rated processing.
